Don't be spooked buying online! - Dave’s Woodstock Music

Don't be spooked buying online!

Buying a guitar online without being able to play it first can certainly be a scary experience.

While many builders are known for being very consistent, there are still variations from one guitar to the next. Here’s why you don’t have to be scared when you buy online from me.

  • Personalized Attention
  • When dealing with the big box chain stores, you deal with a sales agent who has never touched the guitars, and also may not be working there in a few months. However, when you deal with a smaller “mom and pop” store like mine, it’s far more likely that you will get personalized attention and deal with someone who can put their hands on the actual guitar that you wish to purchase.

  • A More Experienced Sales Professional
  • In the case of Dave’s Woodstock Music, you are dealing with me, Dave. Having been in the business for more than 20 years, I have played thousands of guitars and I certainly know the difference between one guitar over another. I also pride myself on listening to you. Your likes and dislikes may be very different from mine, and I want you to end up with the guitar that best suits your style and ears!

    • Nationwide Inventory
The upside to buying online, and a guitar that you haven’t had a chance to play first, is that you have the availability of inventory across the entire country. It’s a shame to be limited to just the stock that your local guitar store has when there are so many great instruments out there that may be 1,000 miles away from you.

The bottom line is, don’t be afraid of the dark. Deal with a trusted independent dealer who truly values your business, is committed to a lifelong relationship with you and who has a vested interest in helping you find the guitar of your dreams, nightmare-free.
