I was attracted to this guitar for a very special reason - it has the same nut width, scale length and form factor as the 1933 D-18 Martin I bought in 1961 and which has been my mainstay ever since. I have felt the need for a supplemental guitar for many years now, but my spatulate fingers are used to my OM's 1 7/8" width, which is hard to find. The SD50 is beautiful and it has a tremendous voice. I think that the nut width and the scale length dicate an action which is best suited for strong hands like mine, but I could 't be more pleased. I can dig in and pick hard, and the SD50 just produces a gorgeous tone.
